Dreaming in Formentera.

Good evening everyone.

Today I would like to share a batch of pictures of my stay in the island of Formentera. Also, I would like to share with you my experience , places to go, what to do there and so many advices.If you want to visit this island,keep reading.

Where to stay?

You will find huge amounts of aparments in Formentera.For my part, I stayed in an apartment so close to the harbour.I absolutely loved it because the beaches were near the aparment and I used to move by bike.

What to do there? 

In my frank opinion, Formentera is a relaxing destination that is great for couples looking to relax but I also recommend it to families with their children. The island has an incredible clear water so it is perfect to practice water sports. I went to paddle surfing, a sport that I really enjoy and that I had previously tried in Mexico.

 Snorkelling is a must do.Personally, I felt as if I were an other fish swimming in the water, I saw many rays roaming around me and goldfish.

There are also an infinite amount of fun things to do while there.For example, you can hire a jet ski for some adrenaline or get pulled on a banana boats until you lose control and fall into the water.

If your intention is to go out in the night, you should go to Es pujols.

Places to go.

Cap de Barvaria is an essential visit in the stay. Many films have been filmed and I recommend you to visit in the sunset and take some pictures. It is a lovely place to visit with your couple.

 Therefore, Espalmador is a beach with wonderfull views but the problem is that unless you go by boat , you could not enjoy it. If you are looking for places to lunch, There are many good restaurants along the beach, the food is exquisite but the prices are high.However , there is an italian restaurant  near the harbour named Café del lago, this restaurant has an amazing place around it and I am sure , you will enjoy it.

As a conclusion to this post, my experience in Formentera was unforgettable.If I had the chance to repeat,I will combine my stay between Ibiza and Formentera.

GLAAD Gala San Francisco.

Hello everyone! , today I am going to write about San Francisco which is a city that called my attention although I have never been. Especially , I am going to talk about the GLAAD Gala San Francisco that honors innovators in the Bay Area who advance LGBT

( lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender).

 GLAAD has  honored Tyler Oakley at the gala San Francisco

At the gala, Oakley  received the Davidson/Valentini Award, which was presented to an LGBT media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality for the LGBT community.

With nearly eight million subscribers on YouTube, Tyler Oakley has become one of the most influential  personalities on social media today named one of Time Magazine’s 30 Most Influential People on the Internet.

 Jazz jennin is an American transgender girl who was born as a boy but then she did not feel comfortable with herself . She is a youtuber personalitty and laws ,lesbian , gay , bisexual and transgender(LGBT) rights activist.

. Jennings, 15, has already made strides in accelerating acceptance for the transgender community aside from her TLC series; she has over 184,000 subscribers on YouTube, a platform she uses to share her story, and is involved with several philanthropies. 

These two activists are an inspiration for everyone so I believe we should have in Spain a GLAAD gala like this. Personally, I love it!

Essay outline.

I.   Introduction. Thesis Stament: A healthy diet is important because it increases energy,prevet illness and promotes well being in all people.

II. Advantages.

A. Prevent illness

     1.Following a healthy diet can help you not to have low defenses level.

     2.It can make you stronger.

     3.Unhealthy eating ,  over the long term ,could be a risk factor for chronic diseases such as cancer, diabetes, obesity and heart disease

B. Makes you happier.

     1.What we eat has a big impact on our brains.

C.You will be less stressed.

    1.Certain foods have the ability to moderate our body’s level of cortisol, the stress hormone.

    2. Some studies have found that foods packed with vitamin C and magnesium help reduce cortisol levels.

D.You will live longer.

    1.Healthy eating can help you to avoid diseases that  low your life expectancy.

    2.An study points to nuts as a way to reduce your risk of early death.

 E. You will be more productive.

    1.Eating unhealthy foods puts you at a 66% increase risk of productivity loss.

III.Disadvantages of a healthy diet.

A.Change is hard.

   1.It is hard to incorporate change.

B.Social Obstacles.

    1.It affects the people who live in or are around you.It forces them to change in some way.

    2.You can not eat the same when you go out with friends.

C.Miss comfort food.

   1.You would like to eat a chocolate cake.

   1.You should be conscious of what you want and your goals.

My experience. Casting Pekin Express.

Pekin Express is a tv show broadcasted in Antena 3. It is about adventurous people , ten pairs exacly that go to Asia to live an incredible experience.It lasts about one month and a half and the adventurous do not know the destination so they have to disocover it. You have to overcome obstacles in each country, normally four or five different countries. The aim of the adventure is to overcome the obstacles and try to arrive the first one to each objetive until arrive to the last country . Last year , it was filmed in  Myanmar, Malasia and Singapur. They just have one euro each day and they just can use it for eat , not to transport. They have to trust in people and sleep in houses of the citizens.

Well , since the first time I saw this programmeI wanted to take part in it but I was just thirteen years old so it was not possible. Last year was broadcasted in tv so I decided to sign up for next year. My mother in law is an adventurous soul like me so we decided to call to the several castings.

Six months later I was in my apparment when I saw on the internet that the registration deadline was opened. I phoned Pekin Express and they asked me several questions about my mother in law and me. All types of questions. They told me that if they were interested in us , they will get in touch again. Suddenly , two weeks after they called me and they asked me alot of questions again , the day after they phoned me and ask me about my facebook profile . Also , they asked me to do a questionnaire, a video of Juani (my mother in law) and me , other video each one about us, a dialogue, photos about us, a presentation script etc...We had to send it two days later. I had to go to Cartagena so I could not go to class , we started to do the questionnare from 9:00pm until 2:00pm so let's imagine how long was it... The day after we had to filmed the video around Cartagena , it had to be original so it was a hard work, we spent all the day doing everythig they told us. Finally we sent it.

A week after , Pekin Express called us  congratulating us because we were very lucky , we were in the final , they told us that we had to go to Valencia to do the face to face casting. Then we were really nervous.
Four days later , we went to Valencia, it was in a hotel. We were waiting for our turn while we were seeing different people coming into the casting. When it was our turn, we were anxious but when we started talking we got relaxed. It was curious because the first thing they said us in the casting was: 'Get undressed ,please' , we were shocked but we laugh , they were joking. They asked us about our lives and they laughalot with us because Juani is comic relief.The questions were similar as the questionnaire questions , they wanted to know if were saying the truth. They challenged us to know how we reacted. We spent 20 minutes there while other people were spending around five or ten minutes , so we were very exciting. They said us that if were chosen for the tv show , they will call us in two weeks. Unfortunatly , we did not recieved any called.

It was a really nice experience and we were concious that the casting was done in different places of Spain so there were many people. We are glad to be one of the last selection and have this experince. We want to participate next year , we would not give up.

COMPARISON AND CONTRAST PARAGRAPHS.

Living with your parents is very different from living alone. When you live with your parents you are cared and protected, you do not have many responsabilities.Living alone is usually more difficult , you have to do everything by yourself. However, living with your parents when you are old enough to live alone is difficult because you can get used to it. It can make a dependence and in the future it might make you immature. Your parents can help you with your economy so that is a positive point.

On the other hand, living alone have such as many benefits;you learn to do things by yourself without help which can enrich you. You learn how to organize your life and you do not have to fit in with a timetable , you can do what you rather like.Maybe you have your  incomes so you have to control about what you save and try not to waste your money.
Although both have their good things, they are completly  the opposite.

Introduction and conclusion.

INTRODUCTION

Have you ever thought about what would happen if mobiles did not exist? Probably not. Mobile phones and technologies take part of our life.An experiment has been done in United States in wich was forbidden to use a mobile phone for two weeks. Surprisingly, a 70 percent of the people have felt anxiety and dependence. On the other hand, a 30 percent are sure that this has been befeficial for their lifes, they have enjoyed more with family and friends.

CONCLUSION

Overall,these datum confirm that technologies are causing us an an important addiction but at the same time are healthier for our social life.People should realise the importance of the life. We must make the most of the time with daughters , sons, husbands, mothers ... Technologies could provide us fun ,entertaiment or communication but do not forget of humans. 

What to visit in Ibiza?

Well , I am going to tell you about my last summer trip to Ibiza. I am going to recommend you the best places to go depending on the quantity of money you would like to spend.

I went to Ibiza in August for 15 days with my family and my boyfriend , we stayed in a house we rented.

The first thing you should know before going to Ibiza is that you need a car, usually the houses in Ibiza are really far away from the city ,coves and beaches. The coves have complicated access so you need a car. Then , you should know that it is impossible to park near the beaches unless you go early. I used to go early , about nine in the morning.

It is not easy to park in Ibiza so you will need to pay for it, it is expensive but if you are lucky you will find a free place.

The best coves in my opinion are:

These are my favorite ones although there are good ones such as Las Salinas,Sa Caleta,Cala Gracioneta,Cala de San Vicente...

If you want to go for a nice meal , there are incredible places where you can enjoy a tasty food without spending a lot of money. My favorites ones are Can Gourmet, Sol y Sombra,La Torreta and Mo restaurant.If you want to spend a romantic evening , do not hesitate and try Mo restaurant ,we had dinner there two times and it was really nice , there were a music band and with a relaxing atmosphere.It is around 40 euros per person , the food is exquisite.

Ibiza is the party isle so if you want to have fun and discover Ibiza night, read these tips.

 Firstly, you need to know that discos in Ibiza are expensive but you would not regret! Also , you should Know that the disco tikets do not include any  consumption and  if you want a drink you must pay for it around 25 euros ,even if you just want to drink a bottle of water in the disco , it will cost you around 15 euros.It is so expensive in my opinion and the worst thing is that you can go out of the disco because if you want to come back you will need to pay again.

I went to Pacha Ibiza (that day was David Guetta Dj) which cost 85 euros per person. Do not worry about your  clothing , you will see people well dressed and people in bikini.

Therefore , I went to Ushuaia Hotel to see Avicii Dj which cost 55euros per person. From my point of view , this was the best party during my stay in the isle.It is in a hotel with swimming pool and it lates from the afternoon until the evening.

Also, I went to Amnesia disco which cost 45 euros.To my mind, this was the worst because the music was not my cup of tea.

My boyfriend and me met people from Ibiza so they invited us to a really nice party in an incredible hotel called Hard Rock , it was  music of the years 80' so it was amazing.

If you want to enjoy a wonderfull sunset , do not hesitate and if you have the chance , go to San Antonio to Cafe del Mar. Do not forget to visit the original shops in Ibiza, you can find them in the harbour .Also, go to the Hippy Market, I am sure you will fall in love.

The Purpose of education.

Education is they key to success. Nowadays, more and more people is very interested in how to educate children and how to give them the best education.However , it is not as easy as you think , education is a relevant value which unfortunatly we are not doing our best.Schools, high schools and colleges are just persuading pupils to memorise things for a short period. This is not the correct way to teach.

Memorise sentences and paragraphs is the common way of studying that students employs , in fact, I remember when I was younger than I did not know what was study to learn something new , everything that I used to learn by heart was to write it in the exam and just pass it.Unhappily ,this do not motivate students to learn , so  if they are not motivated, they will never have ambitions and curiosities which are the key to keep a child interested and then have a successfull knowledge.

Education must change at soon as possible , we are not equals so we do not have the same requirements and each person do not have the same capacity. Our educational system does not work.For instance, there is always two or three students in a class that they can not keep calm and pay atention , they are badly judge as they were a bad students. What our education system does not  realize is that we are not the same , these children will probably be more active and they need different education but it does not means that they are bad students.

Creative is a talent that we achieve through the education, nevertheless , we are not taught and we do not give substans to this amazing talent.Sadly , there are  hidden creative people that they can not convey their talents due to our awful education system. There is a study in which show that playing and practicing is more effective for the creative and learning than reading with the purpose of memorise.

Overall, people should be concious of what they want for their children but first we need change the system and teach students properly, not persuade them to learn by heart things that they will forget in the following days. The world is full of genius that believe they are idiot because they have always been bad in what they suppose to be good at.This world needs talents, not machines so let's s start creating.
